Kansas Medical POA
The Kansas medical power of attorney form is used to assign an individual to make health care decisions for the principal in the event of their incapacitation. Anyone can be assigned as a health care agent except the principal’s doctor or anyone else involved professionally in their healthcare (unless they are a relative). In Kansas, these exceptions do not apply to certain individuals who are members of the same religious community as the principal. If possible, it’s advisable to appoint someone who will be able to be at the principal’s bedside if and when the need arises.
